Forestry Mulching & Land Clearing in southern Missouri

Forestry Mulching & Land Clearing

Forestry mulching & land clearing in the Missouri Ozarks.

A cleaned, mulched property that looks done, not torn up. No burn piles. No bare scars.

What's included

Scope, in plain language.

  • Cedar, brush, briars, fence-row clearing
  • Stump grinding to grade
  • View clearing and selective thinning
  • Mulch left in place as ground cover
  • Fence-line prep
  • Cleanup and final pass

How we do it

No mystery. No surprises.

  1. 01

    Walk the line

We mark what stays and what goes. Sometimes the best clearing is selective: keeping the oak and walnut, dropping the cedar.

  2. 02

    Drop in with the mulcher

We run a Cat skid steer with a Fecon mulching head. It chews 8" cedar without slowing down.

  3. 03

    Grind to grade

Stumps are ground to or below grade so you can mow, drive or build over them.

  4. 04

    Final pass

We rake and re-distribute the mulch so it lays as ground cover instead of windrowed piles.

What it costs

FAQ

Frequently asked

Bulldozing tears the topsoil and leaves you with burn piles, ruts, and erosion. Mulching grinds everything in place to a 2–4" mulch carpet. The ground stays intact, the property looks done, and you can use it the next day.

No. The mulch breaks down within 12–18 months and actually improves the soil. We can rake it lighter in pasture areas if you want grass to come up faster.

Yes. We can mulch within inches of an existing fence. We can also clear the line first to set new fence.

October through April is ideal: dry ground, no leaves blocking sightlines, and easier on the equipment. We'll work in summer too, but expect more dust and slower production.

No. That's the beauty. Mulching means no piles, no permits, no neighbors complaining about smoke.

On open brush, 1–2 acres a day per machine. Heavy timber, half that. We'll give you a real day count when we quote.
